Reach the Smart Travel Info editors about a correction, a fee that has changed, a partnership, or anything else on the site.

Email reaches us fastest: [email protected]. We read everything and reply to most things within a few working days.

Reporting a correction

This is the message we most want to receive. Fees rise, closure orders get lifted, trails get rerouted and products get discontinued. If something on this site no longer matches what the managing agency or the manufacturer says, tell us.

Three things make a correction quick to act on:

  • The URL of the guide, and roughly where on the page the problem is
  • What the guide currently says
  • What the correct information is, with a link to the agency, ordinance or spec sheet that says so

Corrections are made in place and the "checked" date on the page moves forward. Substantive changes are noted in the text rather than made quietly. The full standard is in the editorial policy.

Other reasons to write

Press and partnerships. Tell us who you are and what you have in mind. Guest posts written to place a link are declined, so please save yourself the pitch.

Photography. If you took a photo used on this site and the attribution is wrong, or you would like it removed, write and we will fix or remove it the same week. Images are used under Creative Commons or public-domain terms and we credit them in the caption, but mistakes happen.

Privacy requests. Anything relating to the privacy policy, including a request about hosting logs or analytics identifiers, comes to the same address.

What we cannot help with

We are not a booking agency, a tour operator or a travel agent. We cannot make a reservation for you, check availability at a campground, or tell you today's conditions on a trail. For anything time-sensitive, contact the managing agency directly. The relevant phone number is in each guide, because that is the number that will actually have the answer.
